Free Bikes on Prescription
Our Big Bike Project are working with health partners to identify and distribute free bikes out to those patients who would benefit the most. Cycling helps improve physical and mental wellbeing and is great for the environment. We are working with GP Surgeries and Medical Centres that have been selected through their work with The Active Wellbeing Society.
To receive a bike; applicants need to live within an eligible postcode area, be aged over 16 years of age and hold an Active Wellbeing Society Wellbeing Card. If you don’t have a wellbeing card please follow this link before completing the application form: Member Registration (kineticinsightpro.com)
For anyone who cannot cycle we will provide free training to get you to the required level for you to receive your bike. We require you to reach Level 2 cycling ability so you can cycle safely and competently on the road, more information regarding cycling levels and abilities can be found here: Bikeability | Professional cycle training for children and adults in England
