We are pleased to announce The Active Wellbeing Society (TAWS) has rebranded, marking a significant milestone in our journey to date.
Established in 2017 as an initiative developed out of Birmingham City Council’s Wellbeing Service, The Active Wellbeing Society (TAWS) has continued to grow and change over the past seven years.
While our focus on working with communities and partners remains at the heart of what we do, we have evolved. We’re excited to now mark those changes, with a brand that reflects our growth, refined mission and vision, and broadened services across the UK.
By creating a brand that reflects our ongoing commitment to positive change, empathy and community, we hope that the new identity captures the wider purpose of our organisation.
In collaboration with Poke, a creative marketing agency, this redesign has been carefully crafted to reflect our core values, brand pillars, and holistic approach towards building a society free from inequalities, where everyone can live happy, healthy, and active lives.
Karen Creavin, CEO of The Active Wellbeing Society, said: “We are pleased to enter this next chapter with a new look to further showcase how we represent The Active Wellbeing Society. We are excited to be on this journey and want to ensure we represent the organisation and its values and contributions as clearly as we can, and this rebrand allows us to convey the value of our work and the importance of the communities that we work with and in to deliver important change.”
In the next phase of the rebrand, The Active Wellbeing Society will be launching a new website in the coming months. This update aims to enhance the user experience with improved navigation and streamlined access to its services, making it easier for community members to find resources and initiatives TAWS’s offer.
Adding to this, Karen Creavin said: “As we continue to grow nationally, our core values and services across different systems remain centered on tackling inequalities, knitting systems, and building resilience with communities. We have lots of exciting plans and projects to share in the coming months and look forward to embarking on this new journey together with the communities we serve.”
Working with partners across systems such as Sport England, Birmingham City Council, Active Essex – Essex Pedal Power, Sport Birmingham, British Cycling, and Run Birmingham, TAWS continues its commitment to delivering a wide range of free activities and services aimed at improving wellbeing at an individual and community level.
