Fleeting Moments Art Project

People from across Birmingham are being invited to use their time at home to unleash their
creative energy and be part of a unique artwork to celebrate the 110th anniversary of John
Taylor Hospice.

Fleeting Moments will be staged at Library of Birmingham in November and December
2020 and will feature work from people of all ages and backgrounds. The hospice is asking
everyone across the city to make their own fabric birds to be included in the artwork,
alongside pieces created in community settings. The birds will then be brought together as
a flock in a special artwork in the foyer of the Library of Birmingham where Fleeting
Moments will be free to view and visit.

Please make your bird’s body a minimum of 20cm and a maximum of 30cm long. You can use the template here

We do have drop-off venues set up, but they are all currently closed because of Covid-19. We will share that information once those venues are back up and running. 

 

John Taylor Hospice provides specialist care for people living with a terminal illness and their families. The hospice’s vision is a compassionate and dignified death for all. Today more than 600 people and their families will receive the care they need from John Taylor Hospice. That may be 24-hour care at the hospice, support at their home, day hospice, counselling and well-being and a range of specialist services including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, pharmacy, and complementary therapies
