Cycling for Everyone

The Active Wellbeing Society is working in partnership with Transport for West Midlands on its Cycling for Everyone programme, to help more people get cycling so that it can be part of everyday life.

Our ambition is to support communities to overcome the barriers to cycling, encourage sustainable travel with those who are usually excluded, as well as improve the health and wellbeing of residents through  healthier, greener, safer and less congested environments.

Get involved in free activities and events in your area!

As part of Cycling for Everyone, we will be providing free bike maintenance sessions and community fun days across Birmingham, and a Bike giveaway to residents in the West Midlands region. Find out more below about these activities.

There are many schemes running, from free cycle hire to cycling events and training to bike giveaways. For more information about other parts of the project click here

Bike Giveaway

The Cycling For Everyone Bike giveaway will bring 300 bikes and 25 adapted bikes (for loan only) to people in the West Midlands who will especially benefit from having a bike. They will go to people who live in 21 of the most deprived council wards in the Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall and Wolverhampton council areas.
