Hayley has 26 years’ experience of leadership in policing currently holding a strategic position of head of cyber in the National Fraud Intelligence Bureau within the City of London Police where she is currently a Detective Chief Inspector. She is currently working on a multi-million-pound project to replace the national reporting service Action Fraud. She works with a variety of stakeholders and partners across government, public and private sectors.

Following the findings in the Hotton report and the Casey review, she created a Network of Women within the City of London and sits on the committee of the British Association of Women in Policing. Through this work and twinning arrangements between the City of London Police and Royal Caymen Island Police, she also sits on the British Oversea Territories Gender Mainstreaming Board which is led by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. This year she is also working with the National Police Chiefs Council Cyber Crime Programme to create a police network for women who work in cyber crime.

Prior to working in London, Hayley spent 24 years policing in her home county of Essex, where for the latter 10 years, she worked in partnership with Southend, Essex and Thurrock Councils in a variety of offender management and safeguarding positions. This included chairing the Southend, Essex and Thurrock Perpetrator Strand of the Domestic Abuse Board. Hayley understands communities across Essex having worked in local and countywide roles and recognises the benefits of third sector involvement in building stronger and safer communities.

In her spare time Hayley enjoys the Essex Coastline, where she can be found maximising the benefits of cold water swimming throughout the seasons and taking exotic cookery classes.
