Bikeability in Schools

Big Birmingham Bikes are offering all schools in Birmingham the opportunity to have a range of cycle training delivered on site and on road to teach a vital life skill. All training is delivered by fully qualified and DBS checked local instructors.

All training is delivered completely free to schools and pupils.

Sessions are free for schools but you will need to be signed up to ModeShift STARS. All Bikeability activities will give you points towards ModeShift STARS awards.

Primary Schools Bikeability

We offer a fantastic range of Bikeability throughout the year.
Level 1 Bikeability: Off-road cycle skills development for Primary Years 3/4.
Level 1/2 Bikeability: On and off-road session for Primary Years 5 and 6.
Bikeability Ride: This is a series of led rides along pre-determined, low traffic/traffic free routes. The rides are relatively short; they are not designed for training experienced cyclists.

Bikeability Fix: These classroom based sessions teach Year 5/6 pupils how to perform basic maintenance on their bikes.
