At TAWS we are always working towards systematic change through tackling inequalities. this includes working to make sure that mental health is treated on a par with physical health. According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), mental health conditions are increasing worldwide, Mind 2020 believes that 1 in 4 people experience mental health issues. This affects our lives, families, workplaces and communities, impacting everyone.

World Mental Health Day is a chance to open up the conversation about mental health and how we can support the people in our communities together.

World Mental Health Day is an opportunity for us to embrace our sense of community and normalize mental health'

Dévora Kestel, Director, Mental Health and Substance Use at World Health Organization

Mental health is essential to our overall well-being and as important as physical health. We want to help provide resources to help you keep mentally healthy and to reduce stress.  In cases of mental distress, the first step is to talk to someone you trust. If you feel you need it, seek help from a professional.
