The Big Bike Project
The Big Bike Project is part of Active Communities and offers a range of free cycling opportunities to help encourage more people to cycle. By removing barriers, one ride at a time, the project makes it easier for you to get on a bike- whether it’s cycling to the park, shops, or purely for health and pleasure.
Sessions range from Learn to Ride for complete beginners, confidence building skills sessions for those who want to cycle on the roads, to longer led rides as well as inclusive cycling sessions with a range of adapted cycles.
We offer free bikes and helmets to use at our sessions with further opportunities to receive a free bike through our bike giveaways and Bike Banks.
You can find out more about the Big Bike Project and other free activities run by The Active Wellbeing Society online at: www.theaws.co.uk and by searching for ‘The Active Wellbeing Society’ on social media.
