Walking can have a big impact on your health, whether it’s a walk to the shops or through our parks and other green areas.  It can help maintaining a healthy weight, preventing heart disease, high blood pressure and diabetes, strengthening your bones and muscles and improving balance and coordination.  It’s also a great way to have some fun and relax – you can also have some fun while you do it, like taking part in a Heritage Trail like Right to Vote or a Canalside walk through time.

It can be a social thing too – find your local led walk, visit one of our Wellbeing Centres and find walking and jogging routes in Birmingham.
