Rebecca qualified from Birmingham University in 2001, achieving an honours degree in Leisure Management. Rebecca went to work for Birmingham City Council in 2001 for the Sports Development team, being a keen gymnast she took on additional duties coaching recreational gymnastics at two of the Birmingham City Council sites.
In 2010 Rebecca then went on to work for the Events section of Birmingham City Council, being fortunate enough to be involved in many community events as well as high profile events such as the Diamond League and the Queens visit.
In 2015 Rebecca joined Birmingham City Council Wellbeing Team, Rebecca used her events experience to plan and deliver the 2017 ISCA Move Congress.
Rebecca is currently working for the newly established Active Wellbeing Society as Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive.
Rebecca has two lovely children and has a keen interest in gymnastics and further understanding into Cri Du Chat Syndrome and Autism.
