Birmingham Surplus Food Network (BSFN)

The Birmingham Surplus Food Network (BSFN) connects food businesses and community organisations to food hubs to ensure no edible food goes to waste and surplus food is redistributed where it is needed most.

Through a network of food hubs across Birmingham, food businesses can donate surplus food based on their location and the type of food available to donate. At the same time, local food providers, such as food banks, community pantries, and Warm Places of Welcome can access these food hubs to collect food and support their communities.

The network is built on collaboration, coordination, and shared learning. By providing guidance and support to both donors and providers, it makes food redistribution easier, more efficient, and more impactful.
