Place-based work

Our active citizenship framework supports prevention approaches across the country, working in a place-based way.

We work across the UK, on place-based initiatives tailored to the local area, ranging from cycling, cooking, sharing and repairing, greening and growing, campaigning and advocacy. We tackle problems we need to learn from and scale the best practice and approaches. Our place practices framework works to embed sustainable ways of living and just transitions, tackling inequalities and whilst working to protect the environment at the same time, ensuring nobody gets left behind.

Our active citizenship framework supports prevention approaches across the country, working in a place-based way. There is a role for neighbourhood, place/system and national leadership in taking the initial steps to catalyse, nurture and help sustain health and wellbeing models prioritising prevention. We create the conditions for people to take control of their lives.
