Our programmes are informed by the Five Ways to Wellbeing, enabling people to actively improve their wellbeing by increasing opportunities for people to:

  • Connect
  • Give
  • Be active
  • Take notice
  • Keep learning

The Ways to Wellbeing are based on research conducted by the New Economics Foundation (NEF). NEF was commissioned by the UK Government to develop a set of evidence-based actions to improve personal wellbeing, and the Ways to Wellbeing are the result.

Our work is informed by NEF’s ‘5 Ways to Wellbeing’, and we take a holistic, person-centred approach to understand and respond to the needs of the most vulnerable in our communities.

We work with people, so they are empowered to become more socially, physically and civically. We help to create the right conditions for people to be able to experience the 5 Ways – to connect with others in safe places, to give and share knowledge, skills and stories, have opportunities to volunteer, to get active in their communities, to take notice of others and those around them, and to continuously learn from others.

Creating long-lasting positive change is complex – let’s work together to make it happen.
