Motivating families to be active: Fahd and Hecham’s story

The HSBC UK Bike Bank loan scheme has helped motivate many families to be more active and get outside, creating a new social activity to enjoy together. For recipients of the bikes who also love technology, it has offered them an alternative, more dynamic activity for them to engage with as a break from technology.

Fahd talks of the impact of the Bike Bank scheme on his family saying, “The bikes for my children have been an excellent idea as they have been able to be active and be out of the house on many occasions, they are no longer playing on their consoles and tablets and are out of the house doing some exercise and keeping active along with myself who also has a Birmingham bike”.

Similarly, Hecham adds “My girls are enjoying their bikes, they love cycling in the park with their friends. Cycling has been a great activity, away from watching TV and playing with Gadgets. It’s a much needed physical activity”.

“Great initiative, much appreciated”.
