David Farnworth

David’s background is in the private sector and 3rd Sector and volunteering.

He started his working career after leaving The University of Manchester in the public sector working as a social worker in the Northeast of England.

David then spent almost 40 in years in the pharmaceutical industry. He initially worked in the UK with GSK and more latterly with Pfizer where he was responsible for the company’s relationship with the NHS.

Most recently David worked for a Japanese Pharmaceutical where he had responsibility for Central and Eastern Europe and Russia. In this role David was responsible for all commercial activities in addition to regulatory and compliance oversight across 18 countries.

David took early retirement from the Pharmaceutical Industry in 2020 and worked as an Independent Consultant for a short period.

David has also worked for the Office of National Statistics – working on the 2021 Census and currently works on a voluntary basis with a Credit Union based in Staffordshire where he is Assistant Finance Director and Board Member.

In his spare time David enjoys the outdoors. He is a cyclist, walker, skier, and regular gym goer. He lives in the West Midlands.
