We rise by lifting others
During the Covid-19 pandemic #BrumTogether has been the city’s coalition of voluntary, community and faith groups, for essential supplies and support. The network included more than 80 partner organisations working together to provide those most in need with essential support and services. This has involved co-ordinating and delivering food parcels, hot meals, hygiene products, clothing, baby supplies and children’s activity packs to families.
To support the most vulnerable and disadvantaged in our communities, The Active Wellbeing Society have also delivered a friendly phone chat service, virtual wellbeing activities and sharing positive stories of people coming together to support each other.
As we have moved out of the emergency phase for Covid-19 and with the easing of lockdown measures, The Active Wellbeing Society (TAWS) are no longer taking requests for some of our emergency Covid-19 services
We know our services have been a lifeline and we have tried to keep it running for as long as possible. However, due to funding coming to an end we will be unable to deliver these services. The Active Wellbeing Society are deeply sorry to anyone affected and will still do our best to try and help you if you are in need. We are also grateful to our strategic partners, volunteers and all the community organisations and groups who supported #BrumTogether over the last 4 months.
We are now operating a reduced service and can still offer support in a number of ways. You can find out more at www.theaws.co.uk/relief
