How do we combat climate change? Climathon addressed the challenges in a 24 hour global ‘hackathon’ in Birmingham and over 150 cities worldwide. Traditional approaches are not working, so what can we do, and how can we encourage more people to join us in tackling climate change?
Ride Active is a partnership between British Cycling and Big Birmingham Bikes, aimed at providing fun, social cycling practice activities for adults, in safe, secure environments such as parks and multi-use games areas.
These sessions allow you to practice and improve your skills, cycle in a group and meet other cyclists.

Birmingham remembers the role of it’s citizens in World War One in this week, one hundred years since it’s end. This weekend saw a huge children’s concert at the Genting Arena in Birmingham performed entirely by over 3000 children and drawn from regions across the UK. Many more events will be happening across Birmingham – join us, organise your own memorial or visit to one of the many war memorials across Birmingham.
On a beautiful halloween day we joined Solihull Council, Solihull Active, local organisations, local police and residents of Kingshurst at Seeds of Hope church hall to discuss what we can do to create a happier, stronger community in Kingshurst. (more…)
