What is This Girl Can?
This Girl Can Birmingham celebrates women getting active, however, and whenever suits them
Launched in 2015, This Girl Can is a national campaign from Sport England and funded by the National Lottery, that aims to get more women active, and feeling confident to do so.
With eight in 10 women reporting This Girl Can has boosted their confidence to getting active, the award-winning campaign set out with a simple yet effective mission to help women get active in a way that suits them – no matter what that looks like, or how sweaty they get.
We know being active looks different for everyone, and we want to celebrate women and girls of all backgrounds, ages, and abilities who get active – to inspire others to get involved too.
The Active Wellbeing Society is one of Sport England’s official delivery partners for This Girl Can. Celebrating its 10th campaign anniversary earlier this year, as This Girl Can enter its new phase, we would love for you to join us and be part of the journey.
