Working with Nature

Active Streets supports residents to ‘wild up’ their streets.  We work with residents and citizens of the city of Birmingham and encourage them to take ownership of the abundance of grey space and what little green space remains within their city, not as individuals but collectively.

Green spaces are essential for Wellbeing, and being able to do what you want in them is important to us too.

Wild time spent outdoors, roaming free and playing is vital for adults and children.  We want work to remove the profound barriers for adults and children to having more Wild Time.

We work with our partners including the Wild Network to provide advice, practical support and access to equipment and materials needed.  Contact activestreets@theaws.org to find out more.
